Certificate Authority Announces New Partnership with CLM Provider
GlobalSign and essendi it begin a technology cooperation

Core to the partnership is the integration of essendi xc with GlobalSign’s certificate platform, Atlas.
Following an agreement signed last year, GlobalSign and essendi it look forward to collaborating on numerous projects in 2023. Working with essendi, a company that offers its CLM software for mid-sized companies to large international corporations throughout the EU, allows public key infrastructure (PKI) and Identity solutions provider GlobalSign to give customers the freedom to deliver certificates via their preferred platform, protocol or API. essendi it GmbH offers its certificate lifecycle management (CLM) software, essendi xc, to a wide range of industries, including finance, transportation, logistics, and engineering.
No matter if it concerns secure websites, digital signatures, encryption of emails, device or user authentication, digital certificates are indispensable in many areas. In an increasingly complex environment, the limited PKI knowledge of many companies is becoming an ever greater challenge. This is where comprehensive automation makes a difference. Therefore, essendi it has been searching for the right partner to cover all the certificate requirements of their customers. GlobalSign was not unfamiliar to essendi; both companies have mutual customers.
The existing customer relationship and the fact that GlobalSign supports RSASSA-PSS certificates finally led to the decision to move ahead with integration with Atlas. To ensure a high level of automation for the TLS & S/MIME certificates, the goal of the project was to integrate the Atlas API with essendi's certificate lifecycle management solution. In the end, essendi it was also convinced by the excellent support provided by Program Manager Andreas Brix and Account Manager Jerker Svensson.

Also critical to the establishment of the partnership between GlobalSign and essendi it were the possibilities of process automation to take advantage of the customers’ limited resources and use them more efficiently. Together, both companies offer a complete solution. Thanks to this partnership, energy providers, for example, can apply for, manage and roll out RSASSA-PSS S/MIME certificates via the most common protocols in a fully automated way. This significantly reduces risks and effort for customers and enables deep integration into existing business processes.
